City is a bit chaotic with a six-meter van, but for today just passing through.

Basically I got the van like two months ago after looking for a long time, and it’s been amazing. I haven’t really been home apart from a couple of nights. The craziest thing is that I never used to drive. I always used to cycle or take trains. I never used to drive this much.

But now what’s going on is that whenever I drive, I listen to music and I get these crazy creative moments where ideas start flowing, even more than with running. It’s a really crazy thing that I didn’t expect. It’s made everything even better.

I actually want to drive now. I want to move around a bit so I get these moments. Maybe it takes one hour to get into a flow state, but it’s super cool.

Driving this vehicle means no phone, no distractions. Even though you’re not doing something physical, it’s super enjoyable. It removes distractions. Maybe you can focus more on thoughts that you have somewhere in the back of your mind.

You see in the van there is no real routine, but there’s always stuff to do. You wake up and you know that you have to do things. Getting water, tidying up from the evening before. Every three or four days you need to fill water, get gas for the heating, tidy up every morning.

Everything you must do, you must work for it.

But it’s cool. It’s something that requires energy but gives you energy. It’s a bit like running. It requires energy, but it gives you more energy than what it takes.

In the city you’re very comfortable. Every day is comfortable. And for me it lowers my energy. When things are more complicated and I have to work for them, I’m more switched on. I feel alive, really alive.
